The Ibom Power Plant will definately solve some of the power problems currently experienced in the State.

It may not completely eliminate the power problems bcos its just the first phase 180MW that is nearing completion, much more will be achieved when the remaining 500MW is completed.

Also there must be a learning process as such gas power plants are relatively new in this part of the world and some lessons have to be learnt to provide the much needed experience.

We may still face the problem of distribution to all nooks and crannies in the state considering the fact that the old distribution systems are still to be used.

The metering and payment systems/power purchase are also some of the chanllenges the company may face but this could be put right using the right technology and if there is commitment from the power purchasers.

Is anyone aware as to whether or not the Ibom Power Plant(IPP) in conjunction with the National Integrated Power Project(NIPP) once completed will in fact solve all of Akwa Ibom's power issues, including all remote villages?
